NATIONAL LIVESTOCK MISSION

The National Livestock Mission (NLM) is implemented by the Animal Husbandry Department, Government of India, to promote scientific livestock development and improve the income of livestock farmers.

Under NLM, financial and technical support is provided for sheep and goat rearing projects, focusing on productivity enhancement, employment generation, and sustainable livestock management.

The scheme supports technically and financially viable livestock projects, covering both establishment and operational aspects of sheep and goat rearing units.
